Steven is an award-winning civil Solicitor Advocate and head of our Insolvency Department. Accredited by the WS Society in Commercial Litigation, and accredited by the Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in Insolvency Law, Steven is recognised as a leader in both personal and corporate insolvency as well as restructuring and business turnaround.
Steven has a wealth of experience appearing before the Scottish Courts and various Tribunals and Committees, expertise that he often uses to keep clients out of Court in the first place. He has also spent time working in the public sector. Clients include; multi-national PLCs, local authorities, the Scottish Government, UK based and owner managed corporates and SMEs, Insolvency Practitioners, lenders, directors, and other law firms.

Personal Insolvency (Bankruptcy/Sequestration, Debt Arrangement Schemes, and Trust Deeds),

Advising on and effecting the formal appointment of an Insolvency Practitioner (creditor led and director/debtor led),
Dealing with post-appointment procedural issues and litigation challenging prior transactions.
