David has over 25 years’ experience in all aspects of commercial litigation including debt recovery, insolvency, commercial disputes and landlord and tenant matters.
He is a well-known face in the Courts and Tribunals throughout Scotland and still appears on a regular basis. He has significant “on his feet” experience and frequently appears personally for his clients in complex court hearings. He has a carefully selected network of foreign agents who he trusts to deal with his cross-border cases. He is regularly asked by the Law Society of Scotland to present at seminars (whether in person or remotely) on debt recovery and commercial litigation. He is a member of the Examination Committee of the Society of Messengers at Arms and Sheriff Officers in Scotland (SMASO) which meets twice yearly to draft exam papers and thereafter mark them.
David acts for clients across most sectors both big and small. He specialises in business to business recoveries, recovery of possession of properties whether than be land, flats or motor vehicles.
David is instructed by a number of Solicitors firm throughout Scotland to deal with their own internal debt recovery matters. A level of trust exists between them and David when they pass instructions to him. David also deals with Gilson Gray’s internal debt recovery requirements in the same way that he deals with those of his clients; quickly, efficiently, cost conscious and always results driven.
