Paul specialises in insolvency and commercial litigation, with particular expertise in funds disputes, alternative fund solutions, securities litigation, shareholder disputes and corporate insolvencies. He advises a broad client base including funds, investors, investment managers, insolvency practitioners and directors, and is widely recognised as a leading adviser in share appraisal litigation.
Paul has extensive cross-border experience, acting on complex disputes and insolvency matters across multiple jurisdictions and industries, and works closely with offshore law firms to support international mandates.
Prior to joining Gilson Gray, Paul was a partner at Harneys, where he served as global co-head of the firm’s mergers and securities litigation department and a partner in its insolvency team, working across its Cayman Islands, Luxembourg and London offices.
Earlier in his career, he held senior roles at A&L Goodbody and McCann FitzGerald, advising on some of Ireland’s most significant matters, including the restructuring of Eircom and the special liquidation of the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation.
