Sally is a Partner in the Family Law Team. Sally deals with a wide range of cases in the Family Law field including financial provision on divorce, cohabitation, child related issues, and Nuptial Agreements
Sally has practiced exclusively in the field of family law for over 15 years. Sally’s experience is wide ranging. In the field of child law, Sally has dealt with cases involving disputes over the care arrangements for children (residence and contact; relocation; and disputes over education). Sally is particularly well recognised for her expertise in dealing with the financial matters arising from the breakdown of marital and cohabitant relationships including spousal support; and division of assets. This includes where the division of assets is complicated by the nature and structure of the assets; or by complex arguments as to how to fairly divide the assets.
Being dual qualified in England as well as Scotland, Sally has been involved in a number of cross-border and international cases. One of Sally’s particular interests is Nuptial Agreements, and she is regularly instructed in the preparation of Cohabitation, Pre-Nuptial and Post-Nuptial Agreements, including those with an international element.
Sally is an accredited specialist in Family Law, and a trained collaborative practitioner.
Sally is appreciated by her clients for her sensitivity and understanding; whilst still maintaining a “no nonsense” approach. She is well-respected by her peers and considered to be both constructive and a lawyer willing to work, where possible, towards a respectfully negotiated resolution. However, in the unlikely event that litigation is required, Sally is recognised for her robust and thorough approach and commitment to achieving a favourable outcome. Applying her legal knowledge, pragmatism, and sensitivity Sally always strives to give her best to her clients.
