Linda is a Partner in our Family Law Team and is a specialist advising clients in divorce, separation and private law children and is recommended in the Legal 500. Based in our London office, she has extensive experience of handling high value financial claims with international multi-jurisdictional issues, family businesses and trusts as well as representing clients with limited assets where a novel solution is required. Linda regularly handles difficult and complicated cases where domestic abuse is involved successfully representing both husbands and wives from diverse backgrounds.

    • Negotiating financial settlements for wealthy individuals and those with limited assets, which advising on cases that involve pension splitting arrangements especially where one party has a public sector or forces pension.
    • Dealing with applications for interim financial remedies to include interim spousal maintenance claims, variations and injunctive relief.
    • Trusts of Land Applications in relation to the sale or postponement of sale of the family home of a non-married couple after a relationship breaks down.
    • Advising parents in complex private children matters to include child arrangements and relocation. Linda has expertise in cases involving serious domestic abuse allegations.
    • Helping couples to negotiate and record how they wish their assets to be divided, upon a relationship breakdown by way of a prenuptial, postnuptial and cohabitee agreement.
    • Applications by a parent on behalf of a child for financial provision; and
    • Extensive experience representing male and female victims in complex domestic abuse applications.

    Linda’s clients are from a diverse background based in the UK, France, North America, South East Asia, the UAE, Africa and Caribbean.

    She has also secured maintenance payments from former partners who have left the UK and settled in Europe and as far away as Australia, Dubai, UAE, La Reunion, and China.

    She has experience in family inheritance disputes. Linda helps clients to claim their rightful inheritance where they were left out of a will or not provided for under the intestacy laws by a deceased relative upon whom they depended financially.

    Linda frequently receives referrals in complex matters where the client lacks capacity and instructions are taken from a litigation friend, acting in cases where there are intervenors. Linda has run cases to the Court of Appeal, and several of her cases have been reported.
