Some of you may have read or heard of media reports over the weekend that property sales in Scotland have been suspended. Please be assured, this is NOT the case!
We have been tracking Government Directives and we understand that these reports followed a Scottish Government press release announcing that “Accountant in Bankruptcy has suspended sale and eviction from property in ongoing bankruptcy administrations until further notice in response to the current Covid-19 pandemic”.
Most unfortunately, this announcement was misinterpreted by some media outlets, all of whom have been asked to clarify the position.
Property sales and purchases are continuing to take place throughout the country. At Gilson Gray, our conveyancing teams are working tirelessly to ensure that our clients’ ongoing house sales and purchases are completing on schedule. We continue to welcome new enquiries and our Property Sales team can now offer a virtual pre-sale valuation of your home.
