My traineeship experience and beyond

I started my traineeship with Gilson Gray in September 2019, with my first seat being in the Family Law Team.

From my very first day, I was exposed to a huge variety of Family Law work. My experience was of hitting the ground running, attending client meetings, court hearings, and drafting correspondence and court documents. As is common with many traineeships in a full-service law firm, the plan was for me to move into different departments throughout my traineeship. I quickly discovered though that my passion lay in Family Law. I am enormously grateful for the flexible approach that the firm took in allowing me not only to have a further seat in Family Law, but allowing me to spend the entirety of my traineeship specialising in Family Law.

Since qualifying in September 2019, I have continued to develop my experience with the support of my team but also my colleagues throughout the firm.
