Expertise

Ken has over 4o years of experience operating in Dundee , Angus and Fife. He has regularly appeared in Sheriff Courts throughout the country and has advised clients in relation to a broad spectrum of matters including debt collection, company and contractual disputes. He also assists clients in relation to both corporate and personal insolvency. He tutored at Dundee University for over 10 years on their Civil Advocacy course.

He is well known in the local Licensing Boards and Committees where he appears regularly for hoteliers and publicans, taxi operators and drivers and the operators of HMO licensed premises. Ken has also won a number of licensing appeals both in the Sheriff Court and the Court of Session.

He has over the years represented both employers and employees in both the local Employment Tribunals and the Employment Appeal Tribunal as was formerly recognised as a specialist in this field by the Law Society of Scotland. He has dealt with a number of high profile cases in the area over the years.

Clients have also relied on Ken to assist in areas of Family Law including divorce and disputes regarding children where his advice is both practical and knowledgable.

As a Legal Director in the larger firm Ken is now supported by our experts across a number of specialisms which he anticipates will enhance the client experience in Dundee.

Away from the office Ken is a keen golfer and recently completed a stint as Captain of Scotscraig Golf Club. He also follows rugby having been a club and representative player in his younger years.
