Fantastic, inspiring evening at the Gathimba Edwards Foundation (GEF) dinner at Thainstone Business Centre with great company.
One of the initiatives that the charity undertakes is sponsoring a child in Kenya whose families often have to choose between food on the table vs school fees. For £35 per month, I sponsor a young lad and that helps with school fees, uniforms, etc. and takes the pressure off the family. It’s amazing how far such a seemingly small amount can go.
I’ve decided I’m going to sponsor a second child, because it can make such an enormous difference. There were some amazing success stories shared last night, including one young man who has just qualified as a doctor! That very likely wouldn’t have happened without the sponsorship that came through the charity.
Keep up the tremendous work Myles Edwards , Gideon Gathimba , Kayleigh Paterson-Donald and the rest of the team.
