Tim Harrison

The legal profession is his second career and before studying at the College of Law, he gained 15 years’ commercial experience in international business organisations.

Tim is experienced in drafting different types of Wills and providing estate planning advice to clients. He advises executors and administrators on the administration and tax affairs of estates, has drafted trusts and advised trustees on the administration and tax affairs of trusts.  His work also includes advice on lasting powers of attorney and he has made applications to the Court of Protection for the appointment of deputies. 

Tim has acted for overseas law firms whose clients have a need for English and Welsh legal advice and works with the residential conveyancing and family law teams in England, as well as Gilson Gray Financial Management.

Before joining Gilson Gray, Tim worked as interim Head of Private Client at Movera, leading a team at Cavendish Legal Group and ONP Solicitors. He joined Laytons LLP as a trainee, later becoming an Associate Partner.

Tim has contributed articles to the Trusts and Estates Law and Tax Journal and passed the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Diploma in Trust and Estates - England and Wales.  He has a Graduate Diploma in Law and also a Diploma in Marketing.

Tim is a trustee of a charity and is a member of the Royal British Club in Lisbon.
