The firm has achieved an increased number of recommendations in a guide typically the preserve of long-established firms.
Following its first set of listings in the Legal 500 last year, Gilson Gray has once again been recommended in the practice area of Commercial litigation (Scotland).
Five of its lawyers working in this sector have been individually cited for their professionalism and client focus, including Iain Clark, Alex Garioch, Rosie Walker, Steven Jansch and Keith Anderson.
For the first time, the Firm has also achieved a recommendation within the Insolvency and Corporate Recovery (Scotland) category with a further four names singled out for praise in this practice area; Craig Darling, Murray Stewart, David Alexander and a further mention for Steven Jansch.
Glen Gilson, Managing Partner of Gilson Gray LLP, said: “Our focus is to be the best legal firm in Scotland by uniting people with our common purpose.
“From day one we have been achieving this by attracting an exceptional level of talent – and this is the key contributing factor to the success of the business.
“We are delighted to once again be regarded as a leading UK firm in the Legal 500. It is a credit to our teams working within these practice areas and I’d like to personally thank all of the Gilson Gray family for the high level of service, success and hard work.”
This years Legal 500 was revealed with an overarching summary that opened with a reference to Scotland’s sluggish economic growth and referenced the ongoing trend of consolidation that continues to see many Scottish legal brands bought up by London-headquartered firms.
Glen added: “We remain fiercely independent, intent on delivering genuine and significant support to our clients. The response from Scotland’s business community has been hugely positive and has helped us to continue growing and adding areas of expertise.”
Following a high-profile launch in 2014, Gilson Gray has experienced substantial growth across both its Glasgow and Edinburgh offices – with legal experts split between Scotland’s two largest cities.
Gilson Gray is based in Edinburgh and Glasgow with a radical client-focused strategy that offers a cost effective alternative to the established firms in the country.
The firm recently landed six awards at the ACQ5 legal awards – the third year in a row that Gilson Gray has seen success – including Law Firm of the Year, Managing Partner of the Year and Insolvency Lawyer of the Year, all for the second time in three years.
The Firm was also recently recognised as Best New Scottish Company, M&A Firm of the Year for the second year running and, crucially, Customer Focus Firm of the Year.
