ARLA, NAEA, NAVA, APIP and ICBA are the go-to organisations for property professionals. These bodies are respected within the industry and by the media and policy makers alike — but do our clients know how much effort we put into raising professional standards in the industry by implementing minimum qualifications for our members and by establishing schemes that protect our clients and their money?

Until now each organisation has informed and educated consumers about the importance of engaging with specialists from one of our organisations to ensure a smooth property experience. But we think we can do even better. We have listened to you, our members, and we are responding to your calls for a more consumer-focused organisation. Over the past two years, we have been speaking with members, stakeholders and consumers. We have carried out surveys and analysed the brand landscape to find out what members and consumers want and need.

Today is a big day in the property industry: The NAEA are delighted to announce the launch ofPropertymark.

Propertymark is a new single voice, uniting all the membership organisations and articulating a clear and powerful message: by using a Propertymark agent, you and your money are protected. Instead of each of the NFoPP member organisations trying to reach and inform their respective clients on their own, we have created a new organisation that speaks for all of us and therefore reaches more people as a clear consumer champion.

Each of the specialist organisations (ARLA Propertymark, NAEA Propertymark, NAVA Propertymark, ARLA Inventories and NAEA Commercial) will continue to serve their members. They will retain individual voices, member benefits and expertise in their areas. Each member organisation will be regulated by Propertymark. The NFoPP Awarding Body will continue and expand its important work with learners under the new name Propertymark Qualifications.

Propertymark will use its single, strong voice to create increased awareness and recognition amongst all the relevant audiences.

Continuing the campaign #LOOKFORTHELOGO, Propertymark has new member logos. We are shifting the emphasis from industry facing licensing to consumer facing protection, moving the focus from the agent on to the consumer.

Anyone using an agent displaying the Propertymark Protected logo will be confident that the agent is guiding them on their property journey, working to the highest standards, and looking out for them and their money. Our focus is on people helping people buy, sell and rent their treasured homes.
