Right, I am about to mention the ‘C’ word. I appreciate you may be in a bikini reading this and rolling your eyes. Don’t worry, I have not had my summer holiday yet either, so you are in good company. BUT, if you are toying with a move and would like or need to be somewhere new by Christmas (sorry), then you really need to list your property during September. This will give you a 12–16-week window to sell and secure an ongoing purchase before the festive craziness takes over.
First and foremost, book us in to value your home. No need to do a thing; we can advise on decluttering, jobs to do, or not to do, as the case may be, and give you an idea of costs and outlays involved in your proposed move. I know you know this already, but just as a friendly reminder, our valuations are free and no obligation at all. As well as valuing your home, this is an advice appointment, and we will put you on the right track with regard to processes and various timelines to look out for, especially as we near the festive season, with cut-off dates for banking transactions, etc for example.
The upshot is if this finds you lying on a beach but the thought of another cramped Christmas balancing your turkey dinner on a tray does not fill you with festive spirit, then no worries. Give us a ring, and we will get you moving in time to put your tree up.
