On behalf of all at Gilson Gray, please accept our best wishes for the festive season and New Year.
2016 has been an exciting year for Gilson Gray and our clients. Despite the distraction of Brexit and continued talk of further Scottish Referendums, many of our clients continue to flourish across the commercial and private sectors. We have been fortunate to represent clients throughout the UK and it has been exciting to see their businesses and personal interests prosper as our own Firm has rapidly grown.
We were humbled to receive recognition in 2016 as both Litigation Firm of the Year, and Merger and Acquisition Firm of the Year, showing the breadth and strength of our young business. Significantly, we also were recognised at the Scottish Variety Awards as Best New Business 2016.
We have also expanded our office space significantly with further investment in Glasgow at 160 West George Street, and by adding another building at Rutland Square, doubling our accommodation in Edinburgh. We now occupy both 25 and 29 Rutland Square.
During the year we have appointed a number of new Partners and staff. Certain senior appointments include employment law specialist Stuart Robertson, our Head of Residential Conveyancing, Debbie McCathie, and Julian Scott, former Head of Property at AC&H and Partner at Aberdein Considine, as a Director of Residential Conveyancing. We have also been joined by Gregor Duthie, Associate in Commercial Real Estate and Financial Advisors Sandra Robertson and Karly White. A warm welcome goes out to all of the many team members that have also joined us during the period.
Finally, and most importantly, many thanks to our clients and to the Scottish business community for their continued support – it is very much appreciated.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Glen
