Graham is Head of our Employment Law department.

Graham qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and has specialised in employment law since 2000.

He has worked in-house for various clients and has established a reputation for providing commercial and practical employment law advice.

Employment law is often seen as a moveable feast as the legislation, regulations and case law can change so quickly. It is imperative to have an adviser who not only keeps you up to date but also has a pragmatic and sensible approach to the advice required. With over 14 years of experience in employment law, Graham uses this experience for the benefit of his clients, who range from SME’s and owner managed business to charities, PLC’s and public bodies.

Graham’s 18 month secondment, leading the team providing HR services to a UK wide public body, has given him a valuable insight - not only into what HR issues can arise for employers, but also ways to resolve them.

He regularly advises on complex TUPE and discrimination issues, redundancy and restructuring of businesses, the management and dismissal of challenging employees and all other day-to- day employment issues that arise in the running of a business.

Clients welcome Graham’s knowledge and experience in this field, relying on him for advice and training to keep individuals, staff and business up to date.

Graham’s ability to create and deliver training sessions, tailored to the needs of each client, allows him to ensure the HR and employment aspects of clients' businesses are running smoothly, with managers given the right level of guidance and support to ensure that they operate effectively.

As well as such advice and training, Graham is involved in complex drafting matters and contentious tribunal attendances, including Employment Appeal Tribunals. His pragmatic and solution driven advice can often avoid tribunals but, in the event such a situation arises, he is well placed to advise and represent at all levels and throughout the UK in the Employment Tribunal circuit.
