Project Achievements
• following acquisition of the former Rosyth Naval Base from the MoD, acting on behalf of Rosyth Europarc in respect of its development, letting and on-sale. Also acquiring significant neighbouring property for future development of Rosyth Europarc;
• acting on behalf of New Tollcross (a Bank of Scotland subsidiary) in the preparation, negotiation and completion of procurement documentation in respect of the construction of Princes Exchange, a 50,000 sq ft office block at Tollcross, Edinburgh and thereafter acting in respect of the forwarding funding sale of the partially completed development to Crown Estates Commissioners and the leasing back of the development to the Bank of Scotland as their new corporate headquarters in Scotland;
• Acting on behalf of Evans of Leeds in the acquisition, development and letting of Ferrymuir, South Queensferry as a mixed development of retail, hotel, leisure and office use and the subsequent development and letting of same;
• acting on behalf of Evans Easyspace in respect of the joint venture development with a local authority of high quality business space and subsequent letting;
• advising Shell UK in the acquisition, disposal, franchising and development of their petrol filling stations in Scotland;
• acting on behalf of Hotel Corporation of Edinburgh, the operators and owners of the Sheraton Grand Hotel, Edinburgh in the negotiations with EICC and Edinburgh Council in respect of the construction and development of a multi-storey car park and health club at the Sheraton
Grand Hotel, Edinburgh;
• acting on behalf of Scarborough Property Group in the acquisition, development and letting of former Bank of Scotland, Glasgow head office, 110 St Vincent Street, Glasgow;
• acting for Fraser Hospitality Group in connection with the acquisition of apartment hotels and development sites for their construction in Glasgow and Edinburgh;
• acting on behalf of HSBC/Charterhouse in the acquisition of mixed industrial and retail developments for investment purposes and subsequent management and disposal of same;
• acting on behalf of the Scottish Rugby Union in contracting the professional rugby players in Scotland, both for the National and each of the professional teams, Edinburgh Rugby, Glasgow Rugby and Borders Rugby, and for each body in ancillary matters;
• acting on behalf of HBOS in their Letting Citimark Office Edinburgh;
