Gilson Gray has reaffirmed our continued growth ambitions with the appointment of a new Business Development Director.

The firm has appointed Jennifer Macrae, who brings with her over 20 years’ experience within Business Development, initially for Global Advertising Agency TMP Worldwide, and Satchi & Satchi before she went on to head up as Marketing & Business Development Manager at Semple Fraser LLP.

The firm was set up in 2014 as the largest full service law firm launch in Scottish legal history, opening in Glasgow and Edinburgh simultaneously with a portfolio of talent poached from leading firms from across the UK.

Our rapid rise to become one of the country’s most respected law firms has been underpinned by being different to the norm and harnessing the talents of its highly skilled staff.

This ethos has been underlined with the recent acquisition of Lindsay’s East Lothian operations, in a move which saw all members of the local North Berwick based staff transfer to Gilson Gray together with the appointment of other leading local experts.  The Firm services clients across the whole of Scotland, boasting some of the leading companies in the UK as clients.

Jennifer said: “I’m delighted to be joining such an entrepreneurial and dynamic team.

“I’m joining Gilson Gray at a really exciting time, their rapid expansion within four years is inspiring.

“My primary focus is to build on this success by leading a transparent and measured strategic initiative. My approach is ambitious and determined, concentrated on achieving palpable results.

“The opportunities for growth are phenomenal and I’m looking forward to playing a key part in that journey”.

Glen Gilson, Managing Partner at Gilson Gray, said: “Jennifer has a fantastic energy and approach. We only wish to employ the very best industry talent and feel she is a great fit.”

Bucking industry trends of cutbacks and mergers with its fresh and dynamic approach, Gilson Gray has tripled in scale since its launch in May 2014.

The firm picked up two awards at the 2017 Law Awards of Scotland adding to a host of other accolades, including six awards at the ACQ5 legal awards – the third year in a row that Gilson Gray has seen success – including Law Firm of the Year, Managing Partner of the Year and Insolvency Lawyer of the Year, all for the second time in three years.
